Vase - Sphinx “Made in Japan” Raised flowers

Vase with Applied Raised flowers
Can someone help me identify the company and year of production of this vase? 

Marked on the bottom in gold: 
Sphinx “Made in Japan” with the head/bust of the Shinx     
I cannot find anything about the company or years of production. 
“Sphinx” “Made in Japan”   
This vase has applied raised flowers with a scene in a circle on the front. 
The photo of the mark is not very clear but it is all I have right now.

OK - Thank you for replying. I am such a novice at this. I honestly thought this would be considered glass. I am sorry. How do I move it or do I have to repost?
