Signed glass studio pot / vase - P Stanley?? Any info pls?
« on: January 24, 2015, 03:14:31 PM »
Hello,

Again, this is part of my collection (I have owned this for over 10 years) and I am hoping someone may be able to offer some help with the identification.  It appears to say P. Stanley'92 or '82.

It's a small piece, measuring approx. 3' high.

Thank you for your help.

I wonder if this could me your man, Patrick Stanley based in New Brunswick!

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1991-05-26/travel/9102160922_1_local-artists-studios-and-galleries-new-brunswick

The article also mentions: 'Patrick Stanley`s glass features the traditional technique of feathering.'

Hi Greg

Many thanks for the suggestion!  It may well be - sadly I can find so little information that there is no signature to compare or otherwise.  I'll keep digging.  It's a lovely little piece!

Wow - I found nothing like that much information!  Thank you v much indeed.  Yes, I would think that's it.  How v interesting as I can't guess at how this piece ended up with me in the UK.

I'm very pleased to have found the solution so soon.  Very grateful!
Best,
Vx
