Monart bowl - colour 211?
« on: March 12, 2015, 08:54:57 AM »
Hi,

This is one of my more recent purchase - shape Y size XII (3.75" diameter) - common shape but I love the colourway / bubble pattern. Can anyone confirm it is colour 211?

Thanks!
Roberta

 ;D

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH.... ;)

I do love bubbles, especially big beautiful wonky ones in very finely blown glass like this - all the variations in shades of colour they produce, the delicacy of the glass holding the gas, trapped inside...
again, it's the liquid moment of colour in time, frozen for as long as the glass lasts... poetic, artisitic, enlightening, inspiring, delighting...

I'll shut up now.
Thankyou, Keith for this extra treat: :-*
I'm sure Roberta won't mind in the least.

I don't mind at all - I love looking at other bubbly pieces - a more unusual colourway that one - most common in blue I believe!

My favorite Monart pieces are the bubbly ones (and the uranium, and the ....... oh lots of them!)

Here's my little bowl next to a big one!

I would say the colour code is 211. How many stripes are there in Y shape pin dish.
