Monart cloisonne shape X bowl
« on: March 21, 2015, 05:49:47 PM »
My latest Monart purchase is this 1924/25 cloisonne surfaced decorated bowl, the bowl has a white inner and blue outer with red and green lustre.
A full Monart Ware label which dates to 1924/25.

Very nice early piece - Monart Ware label too!

Very difficult to show the lustre properly on photos I imagine - again I bet it looks even better in real life  :D

Thanks Roberta, that particular bowl was very difficult to photograph and get a true represention of the colours, yes it does look even better in real life.
Below are some photos taken with a macro lens showing the green and red lustre.

That's got to be one of the nicest Monart's I've seen!

Carolyn
Thanks Carolyn, it is one of the more spectacular Monart decoration and a nice shaped bowl.

Wow, those colours look gorgeous - like petrol on water - just need some sun now to show it off at it's best  :D

The auction pictures did it no justice at all!

I have the bowl in glass cabinet with L.E.D lights and the blue is more pronounced and when the daylight hits it the red and green come to the fore. It is like having two bowls for the price of one  :).
