Topic: glass signature

Heloo.

Can anyone help me with the identification of this candlestick.

I bought it as being Murano but I don't recognise the signature.  The date looks like 1994.

Think you might have to take a less wobbly picture of the signature. Or was there an earthquake at the time?

That was more a statement of fact than rude. Your picture is out of focus, given that you are asking for assistance here a clear photo of the signature would help.

No offence intended, my 'humorous' tendency is perhaps not always appreciated. I don't want to end up like Jeremy Clarkson. I reckon it's camera shake more than out of focus - possibly a bit of both. If you have access to a tripod it'll give you pin-sharp images. Especially difficult when zooming in on a signature.

Wouldn't say that Murano was my best subject, bit of a minefield. I'd suggest, using a magnifying glass, if you can identify each letter then type 'em in to Google and see if anything comes up. Most things that I've bought in the past as Murano (according to the sellers) are made in Naples. Especially the items with the various Murano stickers on them. Mind you, the fact that this item is signed can only be a good thing I'd have thought. And it does have a bit of a Venetian look about it. Sorry I can't be of more help...
