is this scottish or european id help please?

Hi guys :)
i have bought this green and purple vase which is on its way to me and im hoping that is scittish of some sort but a friend says its 20's european the size is anout 14in high and 6-7in wide and has a polished pontil similar to whitefriars
any help would be great

It's definitely European, as Scotland is still in Europe... but it may not be Scottish. I'll leave that to the experts to comment on.

Looks a bit like that stuff they call 'cellophane' got a piece myself in brown as yet unknown maker but good quality, in my opinion, ;D

(Our Frank Andrews coined the phrase to describe this glass.)

I've just noticed, you say this is on its way to you - do you own the copyright of the photograph you posted, or do you have permission from the person who does own it, to post it?
The board could get into legal problems if it's not yours to post.
We also tend to try to avoid politics here. It can cause trouble.

Yeah i have taken the photo myself when viewing the piece the owners gave permission so im sure its ok to use

If it's your own pic, nae t'other a' ba'.  ;)
Purple and green is a slightly unusual colour combination for cellophane - and a very nice one too - one with political overtones of its own.
Green and White and Violet stood for Give Women the Vote. It eventually even happened. :)
