Murano faceted square vase with flakes?
« on: May 25, 2015, 01:05:06 PM »
Hello,

I found this vase today but I can't find any similar in my quest on the internet.;)
Maybe I'm searching on the wrong places or in the wrong style (Mandruzzato - Sommerso).

No signature or sticker to find.

Weight: 1601 gram
Height: 185 mm
Width: 63 mm

Thanks a lot!

You're definately searching in the wrong places ;)

The nice vase is Czechoslovakian, designed by Pavel Hlava for Exbor glassworks (in the 1960s).
But this design has been produced for decades (and even up to now by Egermann), so hard to tell when it was made.
Vintage ones often have an "Exbor Czechoslovakia" acid stamp, and more complex inclusions...

Michael

Thanks a lot, I was indeed searching in the wrong places. ;) Got a lot to learn...

The lady-seller told me that the vase was an old one... The lady was some 70 years old, that's for sure. ;)
