Mystery labelled paperweight
« on: July 05, 2015, 11:35:32 AM »
Can someone help me identify the maker of this paperweight? It is rather beautiful. I cannot for the life of me identify the label even though I have looked everywhere.
Many thanks in advance! :)

Hi there,

I have never come across this label before and although I looked around, I could not find it anywhere either.

It may help your search to know that in my opinion, the paperweight is from Murano. Have a look at the Italy and Murano glass discussion on the board as there is a thread specially devoted to labels. May be you will find an answer there.

If this fails, you could have the moderator move this query (after a little while) to the Italy and Murano glass discussion, to take a look at your label. They may have come across it on another glass item.

Hi Sophie. I agree, I do think it is a murano item. I have The Leslie piņa book and have scoured through it and looked at various online sites so this forum seemed to be the best next pit stop.
I will take a look at the label thread you suggested.
Thank you for taking the time to look at it. :)

It could of course be a retailer's label. Can we have a close up of it please.
