I have inherited a delightful heavy glass jewel box. It is totally in excellent condition. My mother had it ever since I was a child and I am now 75. I do not know just when she was given it.

It has a number on it REG.D.NO.789791

It is about 6 x 4 inches. It is heavy glass with a diamond type pattern. It would be 2inches plus deep with a glass lid.

I would be delighted to understand what its history may be and what its value in Australia might be.

Welcome to the board. See here http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?topic=54940.0. It sounds like it's a cigarette box, as the other items in the range are tableware and vases; I've checked the catalogue page. We don't really discuss values, as they are too subjective, but I suspect it has more sentimental value than monetary value
