Orrefors Ballerina Vase - circa - 1980

(1/3) > >>

dtnflyrfan:
A number of years ago my wife found an Orrefors vase with a ballerina etched on one side looking into her mirror reflection on the other.  It was at a Jaccard's jewlery store in Dayton Ohio. Being rather pricey at the time she didn't buy it and I have trid to find it since - too no avail.

Our 25th Anniversary is approaching and I'm at it once again.

Any information would be appreciated.  I don't even know the piece's name or who designed it.  I'm 90% sure it was Orrefors.

Many thanks.

Max:
I've had a look for your vase Dtnflyrfan, but haven't come up with anything, but I'm just letting you know we've seen your question.     Sometimes it takes a little while to get an answer, especially if it's something specific.  :)  Hopefully someone will be able to help you soon.

It sounds like a romantic idea you have, what a lovely hubby you are!  :D

Probably not what you meant, seen date 1980, as this is older. A leerdam vase with ballerina also exported to the U.S, as I have only seen them on EbayUS a couple of times in the past . Could be mistaken for Orrefors as well.
If not what you are looking for, probably nice alternative?
Good luck finding,

Glasshypo

dtnflyrfan:
Glasshypo, I agree the vase you found certainly resembles Orrefors and, truthfully, I'm not 100% certain the vase I'm looking for is Orrefors.  The depicted scene, however, on the vase I seek shows a ballerina at a ballet barre stretching.  Her reflection is seen in the mirror on the opposite side of the vase. Hope that helps.

Thank you for taking the time to look.  I just learned of this forum yesterday and am quite hopeful it will lead to the elusive vase  :D

Can anyone help this gentleman?  I said I'd bump it up for him if he wasn't lucky.  Is Bill available for comment perhaps?

It'd be nice to help this chap with his romantic gesture.   :)
