Huge Antique Air twist goblet - Is it old or repro ?
« on: November 01, 2015, 03:25:54 PM »

Hello,

I purchased this huge goblet the other day - It's 26 cm high with a conical foot with a polished pontil mark.  Grapes & vines engraving with a supurb thick Air twist stem.  It's lead crystal as well with a rim diameter of 10cm.

To me this possibly looks too new to be Georgian and too large - but I am no expert so any help appreciated.  Could it be a 20th century repro - or is this the genuine article.  It really is a stunning glass !

The Foot has some wear to it, and the bowl has horizontal striations and 2 vertical ones as well.

Many Thanks

Rob
