I have a pair of these large pressed glass vases but have no idea who the manufacturer is. Any information would be greatly apppreciated.
"REG NO 820058" is embossed on the underside of the base which I believe dates the original design registration to 1937.
The second picture is a view from above - inside of the glass vase.
Vase height 260mm - oval rim 220 mm by 165mm - diamond base 145mm by 108mm.

It looks like the Libochovice pattern #1966 vase, which is shown in the pre-1958 catalogue [Source: Art Before Industry, Marcus Newhall] as being 280mm tall (can you confirm the height of yours as some patterns were made in different sizes but no variants are shown in the pre-1958 catalogue for this one... the earlier known catalogue is for the 1920s so is too early for this item.)

The registration is shown in the Glass Association Blue Book as Hoskins Rose, registered 29/4/1937. Hoskins Rose was a UK importer of glassware, and they did import from Czechoslovakian glass factories including Libochovice.

Hi Anne
I have a pair of these vases - I can confirm that one is 260mm tall and the other 262mm tall. They have a very attractive shape and pressing.
I have uploaded the images onto the RD design database.
Thanks for your quick response.

Thanks for confirming and for sharing the images onto the database... every image helps. :)   I would guess that when the vase was made originally in the 1930s that it came in different sizes, clearly only one continued post-war...  that you have two might mean it was originally displayed as a garniture with a central object. :)

Can confirm # 1966 also appearing in Libochovice's catalogue dating 1930-1939. Catalogue is not visible online, I'm afraid, but was mentioned in Pressglas-Korrespondenz 2010-1-06.
