ID needed for Glass Wall pocket
« on: January 17, 2016, 11:49:40 AM »
Hi.

We have quite a few items that we have collected over the years that we don't know who made them.
This is one of them.
It is a glass wall pocket and measures approx. 11.5ins or 29cms tall.
It is approx. 6ins across the top.
And it weighs 1230g.
The end has been ground.
Thank you in advance for looking.

Regards.
Joe.

It is hard to tell what the colour truly is, the white background appears to be very blue.

Vasart made such items, but this looks a little bit more Nazeing-y than Vasart.

There is an example on the Glass Encyclopedia Nazeing page if you want to compare it:

Hi.
Thanks for the replies.
I do agree that it does look like Nazeing glass.
I shall get my UV light out to check if it glows.
Regards.
Joe.

Hi.
Thanks for all your comments.
I have just checked it with a UV light and it does not glow.
Regards.
Joe.
