Fish in Glass
« on: January 18, 2016, 04:49:45 PM »
I bought this fish thing at a flea market a while back.  It is approximately 3.5" tall, 4" wide, and 2" thick.  The sticker on the bottom claims it is Murano.  Might it be?  I would appreciate any information about its age or value.

Thank You

Larry

I don't know how the label got there, I very strongly suspect this is a Chinese weight, probably from a Heart Foundation charity shop new goods section.

There is a Giampaulo Nason based on Murano and possibly part of the Nason family:

Worth contacting the shop to see if they can confirm - the label does look authentic, but I don't believe one has ever been seen on GMB before:
Address: Fondamenta dei Vetrai, Venezia VE, Italy
Phone:+39 041 739367

However, it could be a glass shop using the Nason name, but not necessarily selling authentic Murano glass products.
