Unsigned Orrefors Glass Bowl
« on: February 08, 2016, 07:59:45 AM »
Hi guys im hoping you can shed some light on an Orrefors bowl piece I have. After "googling" just about everything and spending hours on this Im still stuck! Obviously most pieces are all dated and signed on the base and this actually identifies the Maker and date it was made .. but on both my bowls they have no markings or signatures. On some sites this means they are apparently early pieces? Only a SILVER "Orrefors Sweden" marking on the outside rim and stamped on the base with the Orrefors name. What does this mean? Are they fake? They were my Grannys and wouldn't dare sell them but just very curious! Probably worth nothing but just wanted to know Thanks in advance! Nikky

I think the plastic label and stamped base make them relatively modern production pieces. A picture of the whole thing would help to identify the range name. You may even find them here http://www.orrefors.se/en
