ID please of Lizard paperweight. ID = Chinese
« on: February 18, 2016, 09:09:25 AM »
Hi.
I know it's probably Chinese but I liked it so I bought it, so it will live in my cabinet.
Green lizard with smaller nicer eyes than on some other Chinese lizard weights I have seen but does have lots of air bubbles mainly on the Lizard.
It measures approx. 2 inch high.
Can someone please verify it's origin.
Thank you in advance for looking.
Joe.

These lizard ones were sold as new goods in the Heart Foundation charity shops, wa-aay back in the early 2000s. They can be rather nice and I've seen them selling in the secondary market for the same price as they were originally, £4.99.

If you can sell something for the same price as it was bought new, 10 years later, you're doing grand.
My brother still keeps the one I gave him wa-aay back then, in his bathroom.
A nice piece of glass is forever a nice piece of glass, no matter where or when it was made, or who made it. :)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Hi, Sue.
Thanks for the info.
It will find a new home with me for a while, a bit more for the cabinet.
Joe.
