HoneyBee:
Vaseline or is it Uranium Glass?
Cut sherry glass. 6 1/4" tall.
Photo does not do it justice - it is a simply stunning glass.
Any ideas of origins, makers, pattern, dating it will be appreciated.
Christening it tonight with some cabernet sauvignon -
but in the future this will be my absinthe glass. Perfection!
Wicked absinthe in wicked uranium - love it!
HoneyBee:
Val St Lambert
Eurydice
Uranium
Ivo:
and not suitable for cab sov. These are white wine glasses from a glass service, so try a chardonnay instead.
Anne Tique:
This model was already catalogued in 1904/1905 but no mention of uranium, but considering VSL stopped uranium products in the 30ies, I guess you can consider it comes from anytime in between these years.
HoneyBee:
LOL Probably not Ivo but I just wanted to use it. I use many of my glasses for water as well.
I like to use the "ice teas" for water and don't use my water goblets. Too big, bulky and tall.
Everything just tastes better in a beautiful glass.
I did see the cut pattern for that catalog (Ostende). ?
Replacements has the Eurydice clear with 1951 - 1963 dates.
Don't know if it means manufactured or discontinued those years.
I haven't seen much about their uranium.
It is nice to know where this glass came from.
