Glass Fishing Float
« on: March 30, 2016, 07:56:30 PM »
Hi,

My family lived in the Marshall Islands in the early 1960s. They picked up many glass fishing floats on the beaches while there, but unfortunately only the one in the picture survived. Does anyone recognize the maker's mark? I'd love to track down the date and maker of this glass float.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

A clearer photo of just the mark would be helpful.

A good article on floats here: http://www.theglassmuseum.com/fishingfloats.htm

Most probably this is one from Japan. If you google image "Fish float marks" you'll get a ton of hits.
