Hi KevinH, the new design cap badge was used from 1890 onwards according to regimental  information.
All very interesting.

I have a letter from Colin Terris in which he says he asked Paul Ysart about these badge weights and Paul said he made them all at Moncrieff's and sold them "out of the back door"  Just thought I would mention this for the record
