Italian Sommerso glass?
« on: April 09, 2016, 04:24:31 PM »
I bought these yesterday to add to my rather eclectic collection. They are, I presume, bud vases, nicely weighted and with four polished disc shapes, 1.5 inches in diameter, around the 'bulb'. They are 8.5 inches tall. Strangely, although at first I thought they were an exact pair, the discs on the blue and amber one are a few millimetres larger than the red and amber.

To me they have the feel of Italian 70s or 80s style (so I'm praying no one's going to tell me they are Marks & Spencer 2014!) but there was no label, so I'm just guessing.

I'd be very interested to hear any thoughts

Welcome to the message board.

I would say definitely from Murano but I could not say who made them.

Hi Louisa54, I have removed your duplicate post, made today.

Not sure why you would have posted these items again, but if you give it a while, I am sure other folk will add replies to this thread and maybe suggest an ID.

Oh that's odd KevinH - I had several attempts at posting yesterday but didn't think I'd succeeded as couldn't see it on the forum. Thanks!
