Tourist or Not

(1/1)

Nancy128:
Can you tell me if this is a typical tourist piece of glass?

Thanks in advance,
Nancy

Max:
I'm not sure Nancy.  I'm pretty sure I saw this one myself and considered bidding on it - or did you buy yours somewhere else?

I thought it looked well made, but just wasn't sure I'd be able to pinpoint a manufacturer, and I still can't!   :?

Nancy128:
Max, I bought this at an estate sale last weekend.  They had a tag on it saying it was from Murano.  I was checking with you guys.  What did the one on eBay go for?

Max:
Well, that's interesting!  It was about two weeks ago I saw it, and I'm pretty sure it was exactly the same.  I remember the bobbles on the corners and thinking it must have been hard to make.

I'll do a completed sales check on ebay, but don't hold out much hope cos of the time that's gone by.  I'm not sure how much it went for...sorry.   :(

Frank:
If it was just a sellers tag then you might be well advised to include Lauscha in your search. Looking for lampwork bird in cage will give more choices. But as said in the past, lampwork could have been made anywhere and not neccesarily in a glassworks.

Shall I move this thread to Glass?
