Small cameo glass piece. Hand blown with sea coral designs. Only measures 2 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" diameter. Coral design on each side of it are exactly the same. My guess in Chinese. Any thoughts?

very difficult to tell from your photographs as they aren't large enough to see any quality details.
My thoughts would not be Chinese.

Any suggestion on companies I might research that would have made such a piece. Also wondering what its use might be. Salt dip?

could you upload larger pictures please.
If you make the pixels 600 x 400 they should then be clickable to enlarge enough to see the details of the colouring and how it is made.
Thanks
