Amethyst cut to clear goblet with folded foot
« on: July 14, 2016, 09:35:15 PM »
This arrived with a couple of late 19thC Venetian glasses in an auction lot but I have no idea where to start with this one.

The foot has a folded rim and snapped pontil mark, 11.5cm or 4.5 inches tall. Thin ring of wear around foot.

Any thoughts on when or where it was made would be great.

John

It's an incredibly neat, tidy and regular, folded foot.
I don't know much about them, but the few I've seen before are a little bit scrappy and irregular.
