Murano Glass Clown- Ashtray

Hello, any help with this. My aunt got it from Venice in the 70's just need to authenticate as cant see any signatures on it (perhaps I'm not looking in the right area?)

Welcome to the forum.

I have never seen a signature on one of these clowns but sometimes a Murano label survives intact. If you could post a photo of the base it might be useful.

Hi!
I agree with John. Please check underneath his feet if you have a label. For example, Pitau glass maker is specialized in making clowns and your clown resemble his style... however, he is/was not the only one in Murano!
Never forget more than 700 years of Italian Glass history, this is the secret!

Thanks for the responses- attached is an image of the base.
It looks like there once was a sticker covering all the base but it hasn't survived!
