Large Green Uranium Bowl - Help with Possible Maker?
« on: August 26, 2016, 11:19:32 AM »
I am hoping someone can help with identifying this large green uranium glass bowl. To date I have had no luck, so I am hoping someone here recognises it :-)
Many thanks.

Give it time please, not everyone checks the board everyday, plus it's a holiday weekend here in the UK at least, so folks may not be around much.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

A few ideas but nothing concrete. The pattern also turns up in opalescent so that might narrow it down a bit. It seems the general belief is that they are French but I have never seen a marked one to confirm. They're often seen as a set with a large bowl and up to six smaller ones.

I bought mine in Berlin. The seller convincingly assured that origin of this bowl is Lausitz (VLG)   :D

Thanks Pamela. Do you have a photo of yours? Is it uranium as well or opalescent? I am awaiting delivery of a large trinket pot with a bakelite and chrome handle in the same colour and pattern as my bowl - I looked through the VLG catalogues on Pressglas Korrespondenz.de but couldn't find either there. Google searching is no help either.
Are Lausitz and Stolzle the same maker?
many thanks
