I have a large collection of glass animals made by Pirelli Glass in the 2nd half of the last century in their workshop north of London in the UK. I have agreed with Kirk Nelson and Allan Port to make a permanent loan of a collection of Pirelli Glass animals to the New Bedford Museum of Glass. Here is the first of that collection, a Goofy Dog which was one of the first designs introduced by Pirelli in the late 1940s. The Museum already has a copy of my book on Pirelli Glass donated by Allan Port, which describes those early years at Pirelli and shows pictures of the Pirelli range.
