Help identifying pink glass lidded powder pot please

<< < (2/3) > >>

Lustrousstone:
I doubt they'd sell for much, if at all, as a pair. They aren't even the same shade of pink. They would sell better individually but probably not for much

Anne:
I thought Dee meant she was asking about selling the two lidded bowls together as a lot, not a bowl and a perfume (the perfumes have been split off to a separate topic). Her friend has a pair of each she said at the top post...

Christine is correct that these are not high value items though, Dee. I see them in charity shops from time to time for a few pounds. As each set appeared to come with one lidded pot it might be better to sell them separately as there may be people looking for a lidded pot to complete a set, but either way they are not going to make your friend a fortune, sadly.

Jayne:
The candlesticks in this set are a ringer for the Sowerby 2501/Cadet Candlesticks.

(The Amber candlesticks in the link look like the Bagley Victoria Short candlesticks but as you say Anne it supposedly only came in Pink...hmm)

Still a strong candidate for the elusive Sowerby Maid set.

Edit

Thread for merging here please Mods, lots more pics and talk on this set there, no wonder I had deja vu, I said the same things years ago haha.

Hope you can identify this pink glass. A friend has asked me to find out a little about it, as she's hoping to sell it.

There are a pair of each item.

The two lidded bowls are 5 inches high including handle and are 4.5 inches in diameter.

Any idea on pattern, usage, maker etc would be appreciated.

Regards
Dee

Sowerby 2501 link now only leads to 1954 Catalogue version not the list 39 version.

Bagley Victoria (2) Short Candlesticks now also seen with a full Victoria (2) set in Green, perhaps it only came in pink for a period of time.

Not a candidate for Sowerby Maid as Maid is stated as a 7 Piece set in the 1933 Catalogue and this set is a 5 piece.
