HOLMEGAARD "Masius" GLASSES
« on: October 30, 2016, 02:43:42 AM »
I have recently acquired 2 Holmegaard Royal Yacht highball glasses (signed Per Lutken) with a glass seal attached to them during manufacture. I am curious to know the meaning of the 3 initials on the seal (MD&M or DM&M) not sure how to read this! Can anyone help, please?

Kind regards,
Barry

These pictures are a bit small so here they are again a tad larger!

Greetings from Downunder!

Well, my mistake!  They are not Royal Yacht glasses but "Masius".  My research tells me these were a glass with the seal of Holmegaard's then advertising agency "Darcy Masius MacManus back in 1980. Some of this information I found on the Hardernet web site and the rest fell into place with a little "googling".  End of problem, we can all rest now!

Great sleuthing, Barry!

If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.
