8 inches tall, most of the detail on the gilded areas are worn down apart from the centre band, some wear, no marks, Bohemian probably but who ?  ::)

The foot shape  (can we have a good profile pic of the foot please and the whole piece?) and the red with the thick clear casing reminds me of some Theresienthal goblets and pieces.  The red is not a red I was particularly thinking of , but that might be right for earlier piece having just seen a goblet with a similar colour

but the dots are a mystery ... I think I've seen them on glass attributed as French.

Will this do ? it's more cranberry than red, the dealer wondered if it was Moser due to the decorated band around the middle but I'd be very surprised  :o although I wouldn't complain  ::)

yes I think the colour and the foot and that way the clear is cased on the pink, would not be out of keeping with Theresienthal. I don't know if it by them and have never seen any Bohemian dotted glass at all (which means nothing of course, except that nothing springs to mind as a hint), but it might be worth investigating them as a first avenue.

It's very similar in shape to a number of late 19th century mercury glass candleholders actually. So it could date to then perhaps - this is one example but there are a few:

I lied about the dots ... I've just checked my large Harrach jug with insects and it has random tiny white enamel dots speckled on the spout amongst gilding which is very worn.  However they are random rather than an actual pattern, and also it wasn't enamelled by Harrach.  Still, that obviously negates my comment earlier about having not seen them on Bohemian glass.
