Sea Creatures in Glass - The Blaschka Marine Animals at Harvard

After a lot of restauration of the items themselfes, photos of the Harvard collection of Blaschka glass animals have been compiled in a new (2016) book:

I have a lovely old book of 16 colour plates of drawings of the flowers by Fritz Kredel, the copy that used to belong to Helen Munroe-Turner.
It's lovely to sit here with the pictures and compare them to the glass sea creatures...

and to go a little further in the link and find some photographs of them too.
It's been a real treat. 8) :)

These have been on the board before so I'll try and do a cross reference to the other thread.
What I find fascinating is the iridescent type perception of the glass they used given they were purchased from the makers in 1870/1880:
