I think it's a bit small for a hyacinth vase but I'd certainly try it and see how it does.

I think those polished rims often had a grill over them. I saw this on ebay which reminded me of this (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351949388733?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) I realise it's quite crude compared to the glass one but I can see the original shape as inspiration.

Sorry for not responding earlier, it's been a bit busy over here.
I love your find Roy but gut feeling tells me it is not a hyacinth vase. When they are that small and equally wide it usually is a posy vase.
I can see it being Bohemian, Kralik too. If you look at their Nautilus range you are close. Rindskopf could be another possibility. Google images might get you a bit further.

Chris, your small pink hobnail vase looks like a Richardsons (page 51). And even if it varies a bit, if it sold it was soon copied.

Sorry Patricia I missed your last post.

Thanks for your thoughts on the vase, a posy vase it will be . I would agree that its a bit on the small size to be a Hyacinth vase.

I have just bought a Mary Gregory cranberry hyacinth vase I think which I will post later.

Thanks Roy
