The search for an Etling catalogue is turning out to be an extremely slow burner. I now have a picture of the front cover of the 1930 catalogue, but I can't share it here.  ::) The glacial progress on this is a bit exasperating. Nevertheless, this copy seems to be a third one, in addition to one in the USA and another in Germany that I had heard of previously.

At last! Here are two pictures from the 1930 catalogue. Even that single page from the catalogue has solved a mystery. The caravel is in the museum collection, but we didn't know the Choisy-le-roi catalogue number. Now we do. The catalogue is said to show 70 designs. I wonder what else is in there?

We also were sent scans of some Etling advertisements. We will add these to the project site asap on this page: http://projetetling.wikidot.com/documentation

Exciting news! I was provided with a photocopy of the 1930 Etling catalogue and converted it into a PDF. It may be downloaded from here:

It has taken me more than 8 years to find a copy. Persistence has paid off  ;D

That's excellent news -- thanks a lot for making the catalogue available. Lots of familiar patterns but also some I haven't seen before, such as nos. 97 & 26. Interesting as well to note some designs which have since been issued by the modern Sabino Crystal Co.: I knew about vase no. 73 being available from Sabino, as well as some of the figures, but the catalogue also confirms that Sabino's current 'Vase Geo-Ronde' was originally Etling vase no. 53 (https://www.sabinoartglass.com/proddetail.asp?pid=126). I'm not sure if Sabino has acquired the old Etling moulds or if these are copies of the earlier designs?

I was also interested to read that a catalogue dated 1951 is know to exist. As long as I've been collecting the accepted wisdom was that Etling shut its doors during WWII. This catalogue would seem to disprove that (though perhaps someone else just bought the name?). I hope a complete copy of that catalogue comes to light soon.

Fantastic!  Thank so very much for sharing the catalogue.  In awe that you finally managed to obtain a copy.

Sorry. Somewhat misleading. The 1951 catalogue was produced by Choisy-le-Roi glassworks and probably contained some Etling designs not listed in the 1930 catalogue. A copy of this catalogue has been seen by a correspondent, but frustratingly the owner of the catalogue refused to let him review it properly or take a photocopy.
