Topic: Mdina Zig-Zag bowl ...............

Hi,
 This topic has been started to show a recent find that was made by Angela Watson on Ebay USA and she is happy for it to be shared here.
 
I was able to help her buy it (Seller would only post to a USA address ) and I brought it back when I visited my sister recently.

It is a beautiful example, 8 inches diameter and very heavy.

It is unsigned and possibly bought originally in Malta or maybe it was sold by a US importer ( if there was an importer at the time )

Yes a beautiful object, this is what has started my queries into the RCA one.

It is nice, looks as if the zig-zags are cobalt too.
I still haven't seen the marks on the other one, but cannot believe, with a Mdina label on it, that they are either original or right. They must have been added at a later date by somebody dodgy.

I have grabbed the marks here and enhanced the image to show them more clearly........

Dodgy, very, very dodgy. So dodgy it made me snort then giggle.

If it was mine, it would be straight off to a polisher to get those marks removed.
