Holmegaard?
« on: May 11, 2017, 02:25:59 PM »
HI,
I was wondering whether this a Holmegaard piece. There is no etched signature and it is 12.8 cms tall. It is heavy and the pontil has been polished out,
Julie

Hi  -  regret I can't see this in my one and only book - Pina & Vigier - although that's far from conclusive I appreciate.               Agree it looks Scandi, but there's been a lot of glass in recent years which has a similar appearance to the genuine stuff, and Holmegaard, generally, is signed together with year of production.             Signatures are rarely that of the designer, and are usually created with something like a dremel or stylus point rather than acid.

Sorry this is unhelpful - fingers crossed someone might have the right answer for you.              Nice piece by the way.

Nope. Not Holmegaard.

Can't help beyond that, though. Sorry.
