Whitefriars pewter bark - why no bids?

I don't know if glass sent across the world survives a customs exam at both ends of the journey.

Hi Deb :D Perhaps everyone's using a sniper now? That vase looks ok to me, although the photo gives it a strangely widen top rim. There's another vase the same for sale with no bids yet either.

PS: I sent a piece of rather fragile Sommerso glass to Australia recently - it survived the journey!

As one who can find nothing at all attractive about the works of Baxter (before you all get up in arms this is purely personal opinion and I don't expect folks to necessarily like my tastes ), could it be that these common run of the mill pieces are now being seen for what they are and their values will fall accordingly.

I just love the colour. The wider rim made me wonder, but I wasn't going to start checking the catalogues when I should be making dinner, esp as I'm not bidding.

Not at all, I agree completely. I've never understood the WF hype and did not not think it would last.
