Aventurine fusion type vase - Czech ?
« on: August 07, 2017, 09:05:28 PM »
Hello all
This vase is 11 inches tall. It is sparkling like aventurine, it is cased on clear glass and practically opaque - the effect in the photos is just natural sunlight striking it at an angle. The colours are so intense it seems quite modern, 80's or so,and my first thought was Italy,  but now I think it might be a lot older from the shape the foot and the flaring rim. I am sorry there is no photo of the base yet. It has a large polished pontil. I wonder if it is Czech ? I would be interested to hear your opinions.
All the best
Rose
