Topic: Please assist in identifying glassware my mother inherited.

My mom recently inherited some vintage Millefiori glassware from my grandparents. She has desperately been trying to find an appraisal, the only identification she has for them is a handwritten note that said "From Venice Italy 1919".  She has no idea if the year is referring to the year of the glass, or the year my grandparent's went to Venice. There is no labels, or identifying features visible.

That's a big help, thank-you.
It does look right for something good and Venetian.
It's not my area, but I'm sure other folk here with more knowledge will be able to help you. I think there may well be a lot of interest, this is a very unusual sort of set to find.
We won't be able to give you a valuation, we don't really discuss values here, just glass identification, but once you have an identification, you can search auction sites for past sales of similar items to get a ball park figure.
Can we see an image of the bases of the items? We can tell a lot from looking at bottoms.
We do like having the images of the glass posted directly, thank-you. It means the thread is properly illustrated, along with the discussion for posterity.

Is there a rough / broken sort of bit, right in the middle of the bottoms there?
I can't actually see any different textures or how the glass was removed from the pontil rod, which was why I asked for bottom images.

Sometimes the broken bit is melted again to make it smooth, sometimes it is ground out and polished. Different manufacturers used differing methods sometimes; the method used can often help with identification.

I do hope somebody who does have knowledge of Venetian glass comes along soon. to help you more than i can.
All I can see is that it's good and I know this is not a common sort of set to find.
I'm all curious now myself.

Very nice and i would have thought the date about right, my friend sold an early piece on ebay recently and i think his  went for £90, will ask him when i see him next.

Fantastic, six cups and saucers what a great set. Made by Fratelli Toso, vases with similar canes and satin finish are generally dated between 1900 and around 1920, so the date would tie in nicely. Never seen cups and saucers before but a quick google brings up a couple with different shapes.

Value will be affected by condition, bigger items tend to sell for more. How tall are the cups?

Thank you so much for your identification. They are around 3 inches high. She is very concerned with the fluted bottom, we haven't been able to find any listings online that look similar with the bottom. Hopefully now with a name we can find some similar cups around.
