Just to let you know of a significant addition to the museum.  8) This is the unique Isle of Wight Studio Glass Azurene 'Black' freeblown vase made by Michael Harris or Chris Hotton as a trial piece about 1978-79, with impressed 'flame' pontil to the base, as shown on page 85 of Michael Harris: Mdina Glass & Isle of Wight Studio Glass, by Mark Hill. This vase was formerly in the Mark Hill collection. It is 19 cm high x 20 cm at the widest point.

We also bought the unique trial piece for the Royal Brierley 'Studio' range made by Timothy Harris in 1986. A picture is coming soon.

Beautiful vase, I will be looking forward to seeing the trial piece for R.Brierley in fact I was going to contact Mr Harris to ask if he had any pictures now, I just have to wait  ;D ;D
