Steven — There is no evidence that it was called Grantham. Two patterns were launched at the same time, and, as Bagley were using a date-related pattern number, they were numbered 334 and 334½. 334½ had a short production life, so was never named. 334 was subsequently named
Grantham.
Two versions of 334½ were made, in just the one size. Yours was launched in PG 1 Sept 1934 without a name or number. In PG 1 Oct 1935 it was named
334½ Side Vase, and is shown as a pair garnishing a 3-piece 1122 flower set.
The other was launched earlier in the PG on 1 Aug 1934 and named
Centre Vase and Holder. No. 334½. This has a symetrical shape with the asymetric decoration.
Both are scarce to rare. Their flower holders are some of the rarest Bagley items known.
