Peter Goss Signature
brewster:
Yes, Peter Goss but not the Jam Factory days (sorry Stuart). The other annotation says "QLD No 79", which indicates it is the 79th such item made after he moved to Queensland. He had a small studio at a tourist attraction called the House of Bottles not far from where he eventually settled in the Sunshine Coast area. He hated that first studio because of the constant stream of inane questions from the tourists he was supposed to entertain.
The OP's piece is delightful with that back lighting.

Jimfahy:
Awsome , cheers again guys :D I chased the sun around the House for a good hour trying to get a good shot...
gaspy1:
I bow to your superior understanding, Trevor. I was reading it as 1979
brewster:
It is dated 1979, as you say. He left the Jam Factory in 1977 and worked at the Paris Creek studios near Adelaide for a while and then moved to Queensland. He was working there in 1979.
Trevor
gaspy1:
You said above that the 79 meant it was the 79th item he made in Queensland. so he made no 79 in 1979?
