Help in identification of huge 18 pound / 8.5kg Mid Century Glass bowl

Any help of maker / country of origin would help.  I’ve had it many years and I assume it’s Italian but with no signature I’m not sure.  I’m in London so it’s likely to be European. 

It’s 13cm tall and 39cm in diameter.   It weighs 8.5kg so over 18 pounds.
