Set of five blue-grey shot glasses
« on: November 25, 2017, 05:44:46 PM »
The glasses have inverted funnel-shaped bowls measuring 4 cm (1.6 inches) in diameter at the rims.  The bowls sit on short plain tapering stems.  The stems lead to conical feet that measure 4.5 cm (2.8 inches) in diameter and sport no marks.  The glasses are 10.3 cm (4.1 inches) in height.  Each glass weighs 70 g. (~ 2 1/2 oz.).

They're not Caithness. ;D
It's a kind of bluey-smoke colour, not one I associate with Holmgaarde or other Scandi designer stuff. I'm not overly confident, but the colour of glass is a bit Wedgwoody, and they did make quality barware.
These are just musings - I don't know what they are, but you can eliminate Caithness. ;D

My first thought was Wedgwood as well, Sue. The stems remind me of my green Wedgwood one...

Very similar to Wedgwood Tower but perhaps as they are unmarked Dartington - the FT55 Dartington Suite. One reservation though, the examples shown on page 35 of Dartington Glass the First Twenty Years look straight sided, they don't appear to taper.

Annoyingly I have lost the photos I had of Wedgwood Tower glasses but luckily it turns out I posted them here some time ago so here they are.
