Uranium Epergne Centrepiece ID help needed
« on: August 01, 2015, 05:36:16 PM »
Got this gorgeous uranium centrepiece today, the seller insisted the fish was part of the set, it does fit the hole and I know the fish is Inwald but is the centrepiece Inwald too? Found when I got home that I already had a stand that fitted.

Realised now that the fish that came with this set is smaller and more finely detailed than the one that I have with my Inwald Poisson Volant centrepiece and is too small for the usual flower frog ...looking at the catalogue pictures the green one I have closely resembles the one illustrated in the Rudolfa Hut catalogue particularly the 'stump' that fits in the flower frog see pics for comparisons.

Hi

I bought the same centrepiece in uranium glass recently and thought that it may be Josef Inwald but with a different bowl.

I do not know if its Josef Inwald or not but most people would say no. I am pretty certain that they are not a marriage as I have seen 2 or 3 others now. There was an amber one which sold on ebay a few months ago which also came with a fish and epergne and also came with a glass collar which fits around the frog part of the bowl.

Regards Roy

Angela, your ribbed centrepiece looks like a match for my free-standing clear vase. I have a niggle I've seen mine in a catalogue somewhere but can't recall which one!  ???  ::)
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
