Just dozing off when the colour connection zinged... Reich trinket set 9046 comes in that emerald green. I've not seen that colour anywhere else yet... might be worth checking catalogues etc...? http://www.glasstrinketsets.com/cms3/czechoslovakian/reich/9046

digressing a tad  .......

1 ............  the turquoise example showing in reply No. 7 was one of the original colours used by Sowerby for their Vitro-Porcelain, and their peacock trade marked plates, in this colour, used to be quite common at boot sales etc.             I wouldn't doubt that this blue may have been used by Moore, but at a guess think most of us have seen it on Sowerby pieces more frequently, and looking at that little blue basket made me think of Sowerby, although appreciate this basket isn't theirs.

2 ...........   the Greener Registered basket - Rd. 160244 - discussed above, is shown attributed correctly, in both Thompson (page 85), and Charles Hajdamach (page 347).

3  ...........  am sure I've seen the green mentioned by Anne - shown at the beginning of this thread - on British glass, but can't think where.

envy your stamina Anne  -  being 'zinged' at 3.24 a.m. must be very demanding ..........   must be the air in the North ;) ;D

heh heh heh! that's how my brain works Paul, if something's bugging me my brain wakes me when it finds a memory or a solution.  ;D It can be annoying when I'm enjoying a dream though!  ::) The air in the north tonight is rather loud and active, we are enduring Storm Eleanor, so you may get more posts at odd hours too!

If you do manage to think where you've seen the green in British glass I'd be interested to know, as to my recollection I've only seen it in Reich so far.   :-*

difficult to be sure about a colour when looking only at the screen  -  occurs to me I might have seen a piano insulator in that sort of green - also have a feeling that Stuart did something very similar.             Probably won't see it anywhere now I need to. :)
