I still would want to know if a pantograph was delivered with 10 standard templates - like the Kutscher g-machines were delivered w a gazillion of how-to patterns.

You're asking the wrong person, I know what the process involves  but your question, that's way too technical for me , but you didn't know that of course. 
I just saw this piece, recognized the pattern and thought it might me something for you.

Re the provenance ... Objects travel too and I guess a lot are on sale without (the correct) provenance, personally I don't think that matters if you can identify/attribute an item, but that's just me.
