Vasart like colours but modern i think??? Chinese?

Just picked this up today, it has a little wear so not brand new but i dont imagine its anything special. Any ideas?
The second, indoor picture shows the colours more accurately- it isnt pure blue but yellow /green and blue. Almost like wet paint brush strokes.
Can anyone tell me about this kind of base? Has the pontil been broken off then reheated?

It looks mould blown and cracked off then edge melted so there wouldn't have been a pontil.Can't help on date of manufacture though.

That really looks like something made over in china. They are big on mold blowing and doing a knock off with a grind.

If you look at the colors it is a good give away as they like to use the cheapest colorants they can find and often don't melt in all the way. Thus you get that kind of brush stroke look. Also the blue looks like it might have a small reaction going on between the white and blue colorants that is producing the yellow hue.

Anyway, my best guess is China made in the last 5 years.

Thanks for your information Adam and Scott. Ive always wondered about the formation of this type of base.
It was the brush stroke effect that made me buy this piece as ive not seen it before. Would never have guessed the Chinese origin though.
