There is something in the London Gazette issue dated 25th March 1986 that indicates (maybe? I'm not entirely sure) that the company was wound up in mid 1986.  The name given for the glassblower was Kevin Paul Liam Manson known as Paul Manson.

I have a weight with a similar pontil and the same signature - Paul Manson, who I know believe did work at the Shilbottle Glass Studio in Alnwick.  I take no credit for this information which came via an expert (Alan) on Facebook.  Hope this clarifies your weight for you
Florence :)
