This looks like a fairly contemporary Studio piece, but I can't make anything out of your pic of the signature. You could try rubbing a little talcum powder over it with your thumb, to bring it up for the camera.

I did think it looked a little like the work of Ioan Nemtoi, a great artist who is working on your side of the pond, but the signature doesn't
seem to be like his.
