Bohemian? Two iridised pieces - but NOT Carnival
Glen:
I have been asked (by a friend, who thought the pieces were Carnival Glass) for any information about these two items.
One is a most unusual vase, the other a bowl. I don't know the size of either, as I only have the photos, but my friend says they are not as big as they look!
Can anyone throw any light on them?

Pat:
The second one looks like Loetz or Austrian to me.
Glen:
Thanks Pat - much appreciated.
I can now add that they are almost certainly turn of the century (c 1900) and in Australia - though very likely imported from Europe. The original owner used to refer to them as "Lalique" (which of course they are not).
Does this help anyone fine tune it?

KevinH:
The bowl appears to have relief decoration of some form (possibly floral?) which would be quite typical for 19th century items of this type from Bohemia, Austria (perhaps) and England. But the relief looks to be the same colour and finish as the body. The rim seems to show that it is well finished with a good thickness to the glass and this could suggest a better qualtiy item from one of the major makers.
The vase is of a style and form I have not seen before, although the applied foot decoartion does seem to be in keeping with Victorian ideas.
Glen:
Kev, very many thanks for your input - much appreciated.
I've just received a couple more photos of the pieces, which add a little visual "info".
