Hello,

I am in need of information for this pot I bougth lately
I believed it was opalin but it is clealy blown and there is an embossed mark on the bottom
it is a 2 tone glass purple outside and black inside
I believe it is contemporary?
also about the top round ball, I am wondering if it is complete? or if it is broken??
please help me to find out who made it, when, ... my curiosity is at the maximum

Welcome to the message board Aurelia.

Your pot is French, made by Les Verriers de Maure Vieil. Much of their glass has a rustic quality, I think your ball stopper was made like that. Nice to still have it, the pot and the stopper could easily have been separated over the years.

I was sure the stopper was original and right though, if it was something else which was broken, it would have been flat on the "top", so it could stand.
